Thursday comes to us with a bit of rain. We had some thunderstorms overnight and a few showers early this morning but everything should be cleared up by lunch time, at least according to the lying bastard.
I was watching television the other day and one of the major magazines, Time or Newsweek or something like that - I didn't feel like taking the time to check, said that the 6th best place to live in America is Pavillion, Nebraska. The top two places were somewhere in Wisconsin and out of the top 6 only one - Naples, Florida - was in a warm weather climate. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Now don't get me wrong, I love the Husker state and am sure Wisconsin is a fine place to live but honestly, if you had a billion dollars would you be looking at the Pavillion chamber of commerce website for homes? How about a ocean view where the sounds of the seagulls and the waves are your morning alarm clock. How about a view of the sun breaking over the mountains in the morning as you drink your cup of coffee. Yes, I know, traffic, smog, violence, home prices, blah, blah, blah! Give me a break, I hit lotto and I am looking for an ocean view.
Sorry for the rant but some times I wonder why people don't take a second to look up from their data sheets with all the statistics and calculations and use an ounce of common sense. Good grief!
Ok, the softball team lost their game last night. The season is over and I have to say I am a bit relieved. They lost 1 to 0 and had a few opportunities to score. I have to say I am glad it is done.
Golf night is tonight and the weather should be perfect. I am sure it will be much better than my game.
I think my life will be boring over the next month or so. I will be busy and all but nothing of any mention is going to happen. It is always this way this time of year. I work and work and work and don't do much else. The kids don't have any activities so it gets to be kind of a slow time of year.
Have a great Thursday. I will write tomorrow.
