What? It's Friday

WOW! Where has the week gone? The week has really been very busy and I haven't had time to get my blog updated and here it is Friday already. Thank God!

The weather has been pretty awesome the last couple of day, in the 50's. The bad news is the weather is going to take a turn for the worse this weekend. I think we are supposed to get 4 to 8 inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday.

Drew has a basketball tournament this weekend so it could get interesting.

Jessica is still chugging along in track. I think it is getting easier for her it is just the transition from basketball to track that she needed to get through.

I teach class on Tuesday and Thursday nights and the classes are going well. Some of the students really struggle on a computer but that is why they take the class I guess.

On the work side of life. We had a server crash yesterday and I spent all afternoon trying to get it back in service. The Internet was down during this process so it was major drama for the students and staff. I really hate those times it is stressful and frustrating but that is why I get paid the big bucks....NOT!

Jessica's birthday is less than a week away. The big 15! She wants a seafood meal for her birthday dinner. I am not sure what that means but it shouldn't be too big of an issue.

I miss everyone and think of you all every day.

Tuesday

Well, I saw the most disgusting family on TV last night that I think I can ever imagine. They were from Iowa and on Wife Swap. In case you missed this intriging episode, let me recap. This family, did I mention they were from Iowa, lived on a farm in BFE. There lifestyle was founded in the premise that sanitation and cooked food was like poison. They lived in filth and ate only RAW food. This would include raw meat-chicken being a family favorite.

The theory here was that there are good and bad bacteria. If you clean, you are killing the good bacteria that can potentially keep you healthy. A sign of good health they point to is their "stools" are much better since switching to the raw food diet. They brushed their teeth with a butter/clay mixture and pretty much grossed me out for about an hour. Kind of like watching a train wreck. You are horrified but can't look away.

In family news, Jessica started track practice yesterday and walked through the door last night uttering the words "kill me now!". I did not see Drew at all last night. He went to a HS basketball game and didn't get home until after I fell asleep.

Today I am a proctor for the Ford AAA autoskills test. It is a computerized test that is done kind of like ACT but not on such a grand scale. It is for our High School industrial tech students and it qualifies them for a national competition. Anyway I have some setup stuff to do for the test this morning. It starts at 9 and should last about an hour.

Other than that, life is moving along like always.

Have a great day today!

A New Week Begins

The weekend went pretty well. Saturday was kind of a lazy day, which was very much needed. Sunday we spent the day in Manning Iowa watching a volleyball tournament. Jessica did well. They are a young team and are going to be strong in the future but have some challenges this coming year. The team is all sophmores and freshmen but they have good talent and play well together. They only won 2 games but had a lot of fun.

Monday always kind of stink but the weather seems to betting better. I think it may hit 40 today. WHOOO-HOO!!!

I have some new picutes I will post later this week.
