I'd like to give a shout out to my good friend "Friday"!

I made it to Friday! Whoo-Hoo!

Weather is pretty good. I think it is going to be warm today. High 88 and humid. I am not going to complain because it has been so nice lately. Rain is predicted for the weekend.

Work has been extremely busy but we are chipping away at it and "this to shall pass".

Jess has been complaining about her AP History class. AP stands for advance placement. I think they get college credit for it. There are only 12 kids in the class, everyone else dropped. She is also taking a DMACC class in the morning, but that class doesn't start until Monday. It is medical classes for the nursing program. Jess wants to be a pediatrician so these classes will be good for her. They are also for college credit.

Drew is liking school. I can tell this because he hasn't complained and his stories about school are always humorous. Since he is in 8th grade, they are the "seniors" of the middle school so I think that makes the year a bit better as well. They "rule the school"...lol

I start teaching Monday and my textbooks should be here today. I will spend the weekend prepping for class. It takes me about 10 hours to prep for a 4 hour class. It is a good thing I teach the same class Tuesday so the prep I do for Monday can be used for both days.

Today I am going to have a nice lunch. I am not sure what it will be yet but it will be good....for crying out loud I deserve it!

ok, off to start the day.

Any way the wind blows....doesn't really matter to me. (Queen)

School is officially underway. We had our first day yesterday and it had it's ups and downs as far as system problems.

I would have to compare it to juggling chainsaws. If we don't get it right, someone is going to be very unhappy and more often than not, it is more than one person.

The kids have practices starting up and it is kind of good to get back into a routine. I am trying to enjoy the free evenings right now because I know on Monday, when I start teaching class, my nights will become more and more precious.

Speaking of the classes, it looks like I will be teaching both Monday and Tuesday nights. For awhile I wasn't sure if Monday would have enough to hold class but more students signed up so it looks like it will be a go.

I have a couple meetings today and a couple systems that I hope are stable today that caused me some stress yesterday. It is more apparent that I should go back to school, get my Masters degree and get a job teaching college classes full time.

I haven't had the chance to do the video blog in awhile so I am going to try to get one posted in the next couple days. If nothing else I will do it this weekend.

Trash day....there are several meanings to that one!

Its not what you say but how you say it!

The weather has been very good lately. In the mid 80's and not too humid. I have a nagging feeling the other shoe is about to drop. I guess we will see.

So I have been watching the Olympics in the evenings and there are just some events I don't understand how they became events. For example, the trampoline! What the heck is that all about? That event seems more like something you would do in your backyard on a Saturday night. I can't imagine spending my life working towards the trampoline gold. It is almost a put down to the real athletes like Phelps or Johnson. Whatever!

The kids start school tomorrow. Work has been busy and hectic but that is just typical for this time of year.

Drew starts football practice tomorrow and Jess is in the midst of two a day practices now. For the second practice last night they had to run a mile on the track. She was the first one to finish with a time of 7:14. She said she was very happy with her time because she did it without a whole lot of effort. She said she wasn't tired at all after so she was pretty happy. The rest of the team's goal was to not get lapped by her. A couple of her friends had to sprint the last 50 when she was on her final lap so she wouldn't pass them. They still had a lap to go but at least she didn't pass them.

I start teaching class again Monday and Tuesday of next week. There weren't many students signed up for the Monday class so it may only be Tuesday that I teach. I was also contacted by the DMACC continuing education department and they want me to teach classes for a smaller group. It would be two and three day classes so it wouldn't be a long commitment for me. If the Monday class gets dropped I will probably do it. With the kind of tenants I have, I need the extra cash.

I haven't had a chance to do the video blog but hope to get one done soon.

Off to start the day.
