Lower the flags on the ball fields, the season is done.

It is Friday already. This week has really flown by. Weather has been hit and miss. Mostly sunny but rain yesterday and a little more today.

Both kids had games the last two days. Drew is now done with baseball for the summer.

His Junior league team lost their final game on Wednesday and yesterday, the Freshman team got their last game rained out and they won't make it up.

Jess' team won on Wednesday. The won 1-0 and didn't have a hit. The very first inning, they walked Jess and she stole around and then stole home on a passed ball. That was the only score of the game.

Last night we lost 3-1. Jess had the only hit and stole around and then stole home on an over throw when they tried to get her out at third. They have first rounds of regional tomorrow night in Carroll. That should be the end of the season.

I finally got the dealer number so I can get plates for Drew's scooter. Jess' car needs a bunch of work. I can't trust it to go out of town so I looking a a different car for her. The work on the car will be close to $2,000 so if I can find a decent car for around that amount, I will buy it.

My tenants, didn't pay all of their rent again this month. When I asked them about it, he told me he is out of work again and they will get the rent to us today. What a mess. I wish we could just sell it and be done with it.

No plans for the weekend just the game and yard work.

Off to start.

It is hard to type with only one eye open

The weather is still holding out so that is a good thing. Yesterday I walked over to Jess' game and the sun was shining but it was raining. Not a bunch of rain but raining so that was kind of weird.

The girls lost another one. The game was close 4-2 but a loss is still a loss at this point. 3 games left.

Drew has a game tonight. It will be his last little league game ever. That chapter of his life is about to end. His last Freshman game will be tomorrow.

I am just about as tired as I can be these last few mornings. I am not sure what the deal is but I have a hard time getting out of bed. This weekend I am going to sleep in.

Work is busy and after this weekend, I will be working weekends. So much to do and so little time.

Ok, off to start

Almost seems like I never left

Well the weather is pretty good right now. Last night it was warm but not blistering and the humidity was low.

Drew had an All-Star game last night. They lost 28-0. Yes, they do have the ten run rule here but you have to go 5 innings before that takes effect. We lost to Ankeny. Drew had the only hit of the game for Perry.

The big problem was we didn't have a good pitcher. Drew and the other decent pitcher both pitched last game and couldn't pitch last night. They kept moving people around trying to get someone to do the job. Drew played, 1st base, short stop, 3rd base, center field and left field. That is a lot of moving around.

Jess has a game tonight here in Perry and they both have games on Wednesday. Drew's game on Wednesday is the last of the year for him. Jess has games on Thursday and Saturday and that should be it for her as well.

The summer is moving along rather quickly. There is a lot of work to do and the clock is ticking.

I don't think I have caught up with the time change from California yet. It is hard for me to get up in the morning and I have to drag myself out of bed. Thank goodness for coffee.

Ok, off to start the day.

I was sitting on the beach less than 72 hours ago

Back from California and it is Monday. UGH!!!

The trip was pretty awesome. We had long training days but we were able to go out and do stuff at night and that was good. I took some pictures so I will get them posted this week.

It seems like it has been a long time since I have put anything on the blog site. So much has happened it is hard to get it all caught up. Here is the readers digest version:

-New superintendent started last week.
-Softball coach has public fight with a parent and submits her resignation
-"Lupita" the maid at our hotel in California was not happy after my first big breakfast
-Drew and Jess both playing well in baseball and softball
-Flight to and from California was an adventure
-Went to the following beaches: Huntington, Newport, Laguna, San Clemente
-Drove in some pretty terrible traffic in California and experience a "SigAlert"
-Wondered if people poop in the ocean
-Still have scooter issues
-Hardy's is called Carl jr in California

So it is back to work today. Not really looking forward to it but at least it is summer break and there shouldn't be many people bothering me today.

Ok, off to start
