WAITING FOR WARM

The cold is not funny anymore! I have about had it with wearing my winter coat and having to warm the car up before I drive it. It is APRIL for crying out loud. If there is a bright side, I guess it will make me apreciate the warm weather more when it comes.

Speaking of warm and the sun. Have you seen those Jimmy Dean commercials with the sun? They crack me up. He tells his kids he has to use Jimmy Dean to make breakfast quickly because he has to be up early to light and heat the earth. Too funny.

Jessica has three track meets next week. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Her coach told her yesterday that she is going to be practicing with the boys a few days a week because the girls team doesn't have anyone that can push her. That went over like a lead balloon but she understands and really wants to get her time down so she is ok with it.

Drew has had baseball practice indoors all week. It kind of stinks for him but I think the weather is supposed to turn around next week so that will help. I don't have a schedule for his games yet but I thought last year we had games at the end of April.

Jenny wrote me and said if Jessica makes it to state in track she would come and watch her. That really meant alot to me and when I told Jessica, she said it made her day. She said she was going to work extra hard now. She loves to see you guys.

I will try to get more pictures up soon.

This sucks!

COLD! I hate it! At least in April I hate it. I have not problems with the weather in Dec, Jan, Feb or even March but when it gets to April I would like to have a little sun a some mild weather. I don't want to be greedy and ask for weather in the 70's and sunshine every day but it would be nice to not have to wear my WINTER COAT TO WORK!!!!!!

Ok, enough of that.

Life is rolling along here like normal. Work is a mountain of tasks and it is kind of getting to me. The kids are busy with activities. Jessica is wanting to drive all the time and gets grouchy when an opportunity evades her. Drew is just Drew. Nothing bothers him too much and he just kind of strolls through life like most little boys do. I remember those days and sometimes am envious of him.

The Microsoft trip is just a couple of weeks away. I am looking forward to going I just have so much to do at work before I go. It seems like everything needs to be done at the same time and I end up stressing over it. Insomnia is one of the first symptoms, cancer soars and migrains come next. Oh what a life!

Once it gets warm and I am able to take some pictures of things outside, I will post them. Crash is still smashing into the windows every day. Stupid bird.

Easter is coming this weekend. I am not sure if I am going to get to go home. I am planning on working most of the day Saturday so it is tough to go down and back in the same day Sunday. I guess I will just wait and see how the rest of the week goes.

WHERE DID THE WEEKEND GO?

It was a busy weekend that started on Thursday. Jessi had track meets Thursday and Friday nights. She is running well. She ran a 61 second split in her 400 on Friday. It is a good time. The coach told her that the girls that went to state last year ran a 63 so she is ahead of that time with 11 track meets left. She ran two event in each track meet and ran between 61 and 63 in all of the 400's she ran.

She had a volleyball tournament on Saturday. The AAU team she plays on made it to AAU State. The tournament was held in Marshalltown, IA. They did ok early but faded late and ended up being out early. Oh Well, they are a very young group and did well for their age.

Drew went to the movie "Blades of Glory" on Friday night and had to go with us to Marshalltown on Saturday. He also had batting practice Sunday. His practices start Tuesday. The baseball season is about to begin.

Drew's 6th grade class went to "Exchange City". It is where they have a little mock city and each student is a different person in the city. They could be Mayor, Policeman, ect. Drew was a store manager. I think it was like a Quick Trip or Kum-n-Go. Anyway, they get paid and buy things and pay bills so it is a simulation of real life but made to be fun. Not that real life isn't fun but you get my drift..:)

I am posting a bunch of pics so check them out.

Nancy is back today...Thank God! We are getting ready for our trip to Microsoft at the end of the month. I will write more about that later this week.

Keep smilin!
