Well its better than a stick in the eye!

I am very glad it is Friday. The smell of football is in the air and I like that smell!

The weather is going to be good today. Much cooler that it has been and dry as well. We had a bit of rain last night but it wasn't a big deal.

The volleyball tournament went well last night. The girls won the first 3 games and played for the championship. The team they played was a smaller school but the had 9 seniors and 2 juniors on the team so they were all pretty good. They went to state last year in their class.

We lost but the games were awesome. There was a large crowd of students from Perry that came to watch and they were LOUD! It was very fun and pretty exciting. We lost the first game and were down 20-10 in the second. They play to 25. They came back and won 27 to 25 and Jess had the winning spike. The crowd was loud and everyone was cheering, it was actually a good time. They lost the third game 16-18. The third game only goes to 15 but it was so close it could have gone either way. Some of the boys came up to Jess after the game and asked if they could have her autograph...:)

Drew went to the doctor yesterday and they said he has asthma. He has an inhaler he has to use twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. He has an emergency inhaler, that I don't think he will need much if at all, that he can use if he has trouble breathing during the day. He had been complaining this week about not being able to breath at practice so maybe this will help. He has his first football game on Tuesday, here in Perry and he made the A team. He played tight end and defensive end. I am excited to watch them play. I hope the weather is good.

This weekend should be pretty good. The weather is going to be nice. I have a bit of yardwork to do but I should be able to get it all done before the huskers kick off. I need to make some tailgate food this week. I told the kids I would and they like the dips and chili and other fixins that go along with the football season.

Go Big Red!
